The Irish Craft Cocktail Awards are committed to the continual advancement and education of the Irish Craft Cocktail Community. With this in mind we have created the ICCA Talks series, a new educational platform for bartenders and our wider industry. But with a difference…
Our speakers at these talks will be YOU: The Irish craft cocktail community. Think TED Talks but for bartenders. Do you know everything there is to know about the maturating process in Whiskey? Have you researched the history of the cocktail napkin? Do you want to spark a debate on the benefits of throwing a cocktail over stirring a cocktail? Then come share your knowledge. This is your opportunity to educate yourself, present in front of your peers and inform those in attendance. We give you the platform, you share the knowledge. It’s as simple as that.
But our series can’t happen without you! We are looking for speakers that have knowledge in any area related to our industry. Your presentation can be anything from 2 -20 mins long (but no longer) and can cover any topic under the sun as long as it relates to the cocktail industry. Your topic should be well researched, informative and entertaining. There will also be an award for the best presentation of the night. To submit a seminar please email firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief outline of what you wish to cover and an expected amount of time you wish to talk for.
We also raise money for local charities at the ICCA Talks with a raffle. At the ICCA Talks in Cork, €115 was raised for Penny Dinners Cork and Breakthrough Cancer Research, two local Cork charities that were chosen by attendees. You can read more about our charitable giving here.
